Marcel Hirscher: learning from the best skier in the world

Learn how the double Olympic champion and Technogym brand ambassador trains and why he swears by the SKILL LINE.
The best skier of today: Marcel Hirscher. Winner of two gold medals at the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, the Technogym brand ambassador has once again confirmed the balance of power in alpine skiing.

Every day I look to new beginnings, what the body and spirit can give, in order to get the maximum out of training.

Since September 2016, the 7 times World Cup winner from Annaberg has been acting as brand ambassador for the leading Italian company for areas of fitness, wellness and athletic training. A natural fit for both sides. The 28 year old says, "The partnership with Technogym is great. We not only share a passion for sport, we still want to improve, but we don't forget the pleasure we take in what we do."
In Pyeongchang, Hirscher used Technogym's partnership with the International Olympic Committee to optimally prepare himself for his races. The Group Cycle was a constant piece of fitness equipment at all his training locations. "Technogym stands for high quality and innovative products. This combination becomes a great benefit in training which can sometimes be quite monotonous in everyday training.”
Marcel Hirscher was particularly taken with the SKILL LINE machines, which combine strength, speed, endurance and mobility training. "Whether SKILLRUN, SKILLMILL or SKILLROW - when I see the equipment, I'm already looking forward to my next training session." Variety in training is one of the great secrets of success of the series winner. Resistance training to build strength on the SKILLRUN or a rowing workout on the SKILLROW rowing machine to improve neuromuscular abilities. The ski superstar's feedback flows into Technogym's Athletic Performance Training , a holistic and highly efficient training discipline. "Training must be a challenge for me. Every day I look anew at what the body and mind can give us in order to get the most out of our training.
The core units are tracked with the Technogym app, the biofeedback flows into the next training units - whether in the gym or on the piste. The supervisors in Team Hirscher rave: "This is the strongest Marcel of all time!" But the triumphs and trophies are only the result, the goal is a different one. "For me it's important that I can withstand exactly these two times 90 seconds in each race. Completely focused. In this short time the body is properly taken over - I try to prepare myself for this in every training session."
