The company has signed an exclusive supply contract for the first Olympics in history to be held in South America

Technogym has signed a contract to become the exclusive fitness equipment supplier for all the athletic preparation centers at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

For Technogym, which has set the international standard in the sector of technologies for athletic preparation, rehabilitation and wellness, this occasion will mark the sixth Olympic experience, following Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Turin 2006, Beijing 2008 and London 2012. In Rio, Technogym will be supplying a complete line of equipment for the main training center at the Olympic Village in Barra da Tijuca (approximately 2,000 square meters, or 21,520 square feet), which will be open to all athletes participating in the Olympics, and will also be outfitting 15 specially designed centers and warm-up areas for the various disciplines directly at the competition venues.

Technogym is expected to supply 1,000 pieces of equipment, and will install the mywellness cloud digital platform in order to allow the athletes to connect directly with their personal training programs via the equipment using their mobile devices. Furthermore, Technogym will provide a team of 50 professional trainers in order to manage the athletic preparation centers, assist the athletes and offer other related services (gym layout, installation and technical assistance).

This important acknowledgment is a victory for the entire Technogym team, and a clear recognition of the level of innovation and high quality demonstrated by our products. Rio 2016 also represents a unique social opportunity to promote wellness in Brazil and the entire South American continent, as well as to increase the number of people interested in making physical fitness exercise a part of their daily routines.
