Nuffield Health: engaging formats to enhance the gym floor experience

Nuffield Health launched a major gym floor transformation through investing in the latest Technogym smart equipment innovations to enhance the training experience. The investment on new innovative products and solutions has focused on amplifying the training environment through the launch of gym floor zones where classes are delivered across the day.

Nuffield Health’s vision was to enhance the gym floor design and also ensure we had a member journey that was enhanced through the equipment.

Technogym innovation at Nuffield Health

Four new zones have been launched on the gym floor, utilising SKILL LINE products, to bring a new dynamic to the programming customised to individual’s fitness levels, with a focus on power, agility, stamina and speed across the SKILL, SKILLRUN, SKILLROW and SKILLBIKE zones.
SKILL ZONE
Includes the performance treadmill SKILLRUN as well as boxing bags, functional rig, kettlebells and other functional accessories to deliver varied High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts built on the foundations of running, conditioning and boxing.
SKILLRUN
A dedicated performance treadmill zone using three different programme profiles to create an effective workout built around strong technique and coaching ques.
SKILLROW
A space dedicated to indoor rowing with SKILLROW, developed using immersive technology to monitor, track and gamify the training experience.
SKILLBIKE
SKILLBIKE created using two modes, individual performance so to maximise top speed as well as power and the race function to compete against others in a challenge.

Training at Nuffield Health

With the support of the Nuffield Academy all fitness coaches have been trained with the support of the Technogym team to enhance the experience built around a structured, personalised training session, adjusted to suit whatever level and whatever member goal.
“Member feedback has been fantastic and engagement has increased and paved the way for further rollout in 2019,” - Adds Chris Scragg - “We have seen usage surge but most importantly the results and outcomes members are experiencing is amazing. This year we’ll raise the bar even higher in terms of engagement, content and digital connectivity, with the Technogym product underpinning the delivery of our ‘Connected Health’ strategy within our clubs.”
