Maratona Dles Dolomites - Enel 2018: the visual story of the day

On July the 1st, Technogym was among the partners of the 32nd edition of the Marathon of the Dolomites-Enel, the most prestigious Granfondo in Europe with the wonderful Dolomites peaks in background. 9000 cyclists started the competition at La Villa and pedal their way to Corvara with passion and determination, through the same roads on which great national and international names of cycling have left their mark in the history of the two wheels sport.
From the 28th to the 30th of June, Technogym was present at the Marathon Village with a dedicated booth that showcased two MYCYCLING, Technogym’s indoor training solution that allows cyclists to train in a totally personalized way through TNT technology, a dedicated App that provides specific training programs and a network of coaches able to follow the cyclist along his ride and listen to his needs. And now, thanks to the compatibility of MYCYCLIG with ZWIFT, users can also experience indoor training in an increasingly engaging way by choosing each time a different setting from the many virtual scenarios proposed.

Paolo Bettini, gold medal in the 2004 Athens Olympic road race and in the 2006 and 2007 World Road Race Championship was one of Technogym’s guests during the Marathon along with Paolo Kessisoglu, Italian actor, TV presenter and cycling enthusiast who took part in the Marathon training on MYCYCLING.

The Marathon of the Dolomites-Enel has also been a chance to talk about balance, the main theme of this year’s race. Balance intended as the roundness of the pedal stroke but also as a real physical ability. A Technogym specialist was present at the booth to explain how to train flexibility and balance, and to demonstrate exercises that can be performed with the support of the Tool Kit - consisting of the Foam Roller, the Wellness Ball Training and the Water Ball. Thanks to the MYCYCLING App, it is also possible to train core stability by performing a number of different exercises included in a dedicated section of the app.
