Technogym's UNICA among Italian design icons at La Triennale

UNICA, a classic piece of Technogym design, is a lead feature at the eleventh edition of the Triennale Design Museum di Milano from 14th April 2018 to 20th January 2019, where 180 carefully selected icons of Italian design are celebrated.

The exhibition displays items that excel in technical and formal innovation and have been identified as most representative of Italian design for their exceptional aesthetics, experimentation, recognisability and public acclaim.

Designed in 1986 by Nerio Alessandri, Founder and President of Technogym, UNICA marked the beginning of the home fitness era, staking the claim of being the first workout product to double as furnishing. The compact design and revolutionary ergonomics of UNICA made it possible to concentrate an entire gym into 1.5 square metres for the first time.
Designed and produced with premium materials, UNICA allows users to carry out 25 different exercises.

Biomechanical principles and the easy-start system ensure that the equipment is used correctly and safely. The muscle strengthening exercises performed on UNICA are done in a guided fashion for the entire range of motion, whilst the anatomic padding makes it more comfortable to execute the exercises.
