Backache? Strengthen your muscles and improve your posture
"Backache" affects countless people, but only in a minority of cases is it due to actual spinal column conditions.
Lumbar pain may be caused by habitually incorrect body posture, sudden movements or strains, excessive muscle tension caused by mental and physical stress, excess weight and of course by poor tone of the abdominal, dorsal and lumbar muscles.
We can therefore easily appreciate the importance of including in our workout routine exercises aimed at strengthening the main back muscles, including lumbar muscles.
Lumbar extension with the Wellness Ball:
· Rest your pelvis against the wellness ball, in facedown position, feet against the wall and hands on the nape of your neck.
· Extend your trunk, then slowly return to your starting position.
Avoid arching your back too much.
Perform 3 series of 12 repetitions.
