Palazzo Versace chooses Technogym for the ultimate wellbeing lifestyle

Palazzo Versace Gold Coast, the world’s first luxury designer hotel, incorporates 200 classically elegant rooms and suites, 72 neighbouring condominiums, three award-winning restaurants and a private marina, all on a historic site on the edge of the Gold Coast Broadwater.

The Sunland Group together with Gianni Versace SpA had a bold vision to create the world’s first fashion-branded hotel and residence experience, and in September 2000, the $300 million Palazzo Versace opened its doors on Australia’s famous Gold Coast and a new luxury address was born. Since then, Palazzo Versace has amassed a multitude of awards including most recently:

  • Best Australian Hotel in Luxury Travel Magazine’s 2010 Gold List for the fourth consecutive year
  • Best Luxury Hotel at the 2010 World Luxury Hotel Award
  • Australasia’s Leading Hotel and Australasia’s Leading Spa Resort at the 2010 World Travel Awards
Adding to the luxury and signature style synonymous with the Palazzo Versace brand, the extremely good looking and technologically advanced Fitness & Wellbeing Centre at Palazzo Versace Gold Coast is now open.  The facility was launched at a gala cocktail event in late July by the fashionably fit Shannan Ponton from Channel 10’s The Biggest Loser.

Australia’s first and only fashion branded hotel spent half a million dollars creating the luxury, world class Fitness & Wellbeing Centre which features the leading edge Wellness System technology by Technogym.  The first of its kind in a luxury hotel in Australia, the Fitness & Wellbeing Centre also features Excite+ cardio equipment with the Visioweb digital entertainment platform, a selection of pin-loaded and plate loaded strength equipment, FLEXability pieces and a Kinesis One for complete functional training.

The exclusive new equipment combined with an array of luxurious member facilities demonstrates that Palazzo Versace is now not only a premiere accommodation and dining destination but also home to a leading health and fitness facility.

“When searching for the best equipment for our new Fitness & Wellbeing Centre at Palazzo Versace Gold Coast we found that Technogym was internationally recognized as the leading fitness brand. We wanted a product that would allow our members and guests access to the ultimate wellbeing lifestyle and believe that Technogym equipment is the ideal tool to help facilitate this. It is ergonomically designed, offers variety, is results oriented, tech savvy and suits everyone, which is exactly what we were looking for.” says Kylie Smith, S.P.A, Fitness & Wellbeing Manager.
