Interview with Simone Casagrande, Strength Product Development Manager
Kinesis Stations is undoubtedly an extraordinary innovation, not only in technological terms, but also in terms of style and design. What inspired you?
We saw a market space between traditional strength training, where the focus is on guided, isolated exercises and functional training, and where the focus is on free movement.
Kinesis Stations are a new category of equipment that can perfectly fit into this market space which bridges this gap and represents a progressive transition for the end users.
The design is new and unique: innovative material and technology have been used to make these units very attractive and non-intimidating for end-users. The covers are made of a Technogym tested upholstery layer (PVC material), thermo-compressed and applied on a vegetal fiber structure that gives the machines a soft-touch feeling, combined with long lasting durability.
This innovative technology has an acoustic insulation effect to reduce the weight stack noise.
Each station also has a low machine height that contributes to a more open "line of sight" in the facility. This valuable feature keeps the training environment open, accessible and user-friendly.
With Kinesis Stations, for the first time, a cable machine offers the chance to train without any interference or impediment from the cables themselves. Can you tell us how it works?
Kinesis Stations feature the unique and innovative Technogym patented FullGravity Technology which offers the user the following benefits:
- No cable interference: - FullGravity Technology allows users to perform all movements without any cable interference with the forearm. This is something that usually happens with all traditional cable machines.
- Intuitive trajectory: - The Kinesis Stations' handles are set in a predefined position in space to allow less experienced users to intuitively perform the most natural movement safely.
- No settings: - "Grab and go". The handles automatically adapt to each user size without any required adjustment.
- Dual weight stacks: - Each station has two weight stacks to guarantee more effectiveness.
Starting to train with Kinesis Stations is simple and intuitive, especially for beginning users. But, what about experts?
The movement is simple and intuitive because of the predefined position in space of the handles on each machine. Less expert users need only to hold the handles and the trajectory of each machine leads them through a safe, natural movement. Advanced users can take advantage of the wide versatility that these stations offer, both in terms of progression and the variation of movements you can perform.
