Technogym scores a point

Innovation, functionality and formal quality: these are the criteria for adjudicating the yearly 'red dot award', one of the most coveted international design prizes worldwide.

Over the past few years, the red dot award has steadily risen in prestige, proof of the great importance design has today in all business sectors.

The key role of design and innovation in meeting the demands of a market increasingly focused on quality is confirmed by the high number of entries for the 2009 competition.

This year's jury will select the winners from over 3,000 projects, submitted by 1,400 companies from 49 countries.

A great success for the red dot award and for Technogym, who has won the prize for three of its most innovative products.

For quality of design, the jury selected Jog Excite, FLEXability and Purestrength among the winners in the 'product design' category.
